Hi, I’m Sophie – here to help you untangle what’s holding you back and discover what truly works for you.
While I don’t believe that qualifications are everything, or that they always reflect a person’s abilities, I do acknowledge their importance. Coaching is an unregulated industry where anyone can call themselves a coach.
So to prove to you that I’ve done some work to make sure I know what I’m doing here’s a list of the qualifications and training I’ve done:
- Diploma in Personal Performance Coaching (Level 5)
- Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (Level 7 )
- Trauma-Informed Coaching Certificate
- Neuroscience and Coaching CPD
- DISC Certified and Accredited
- Non-Violent Communication Foundation Training
- Certificate in Understanding Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocacy in the Workplace
- Pending -International Coaching Federation Accreditation
Now we can get on with the fun stuff…
Feeling overwhelmed and on the edge?
I get it, life throws a myriad of challenges at us and sometimes it feels like too much. Whether that’s poor health, family issues, relationship struggles or problems at work. How are we supposed to cope with it all and juggle everything else? This can be pretty scary (zoom in on the pic to see my scared face, I’m not a fan of heights).
I help clients take the weight off for a minute, put all the bags down, take a breath. Then we look at what’s going on, where we are now, where we want to be and how we’re going to get there. All of a sudden the path ahead starts to become a bit clearer and we’ve let go of some of the sh** we’ve been carrying around so it’s easier to move forward.
Often we believe we should be able to figure it all out on our own
I’m here to tell you that’s just not true. Whether you’re going through something particularly difficult right now or are wondering where to go next with your life, I offer a supportive space to help you move forward and live in a way that aligns with who you are and who you want to be.
If you’re ready to explore what’s next, I’d love to support you on that journey.
So who am I and why do I do what I do?
I could tell you about the equine vet, educator, BEVA council member, personal performance coach but I believe we are human first before all the other titles and identities we take on and knowing who you are at your core is key to thriving in all areas of life.
For me this is a constant exploration after many years of trying to be who I thought I “should” be in whatever situation I found myself in.
So… I am a kind, sensitive, enthusiastic, cold water swimming, DIY doing, dog and horse loving human being who loves a good view and is passionate about helping people live and work in a way that is both enjoyable and sustainable for them.
After nearly a decade as an equine vet and two years as a veterinary educator, with an awful lot of ups and downs along the way, I discovered that what I’m best at is supporting others—not only in their careers but through the personal challenges life presents.
Having faced my own struggles with chronic illness, bereavement, and mental health, I know what it’s like when life hits hard. As a result I bring a unique level of empathy and understanding to every interaction. I truly know how important it is to feel seen and heard, and I believe that being understood (and perhaps even more importantly understanding ourself) is often the first step toward moving forward.
