You might recognise yourself here...

Perhaps you’ve been carrying the same thoughts around for weeks or even months. You’ve analysed every angle, talked it through with friends and made endless pros and cons lists, but you still feel stuck.

Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed, realising you’re getting irritable for no reason or you’re not showing up as the person you want to be. You know there’s a lot weighing on your mind, but you’re not really sure what to do about it. Perhaps you’ve even started to wonder whether it will always feel this way.

Or maybe life looks fine from the outside, yet something doesn’t feel quite right. You find yourself questioning your career, your relationships or the direction you’re heading in, but can’t quite put your finger on why, or what comes next.

For many people I work with, there comes a point where the overthinking, self-doubt and pressure to get everything “right” simply becomes unsustainable.

If that sounds familiar, having someone to tell you what to do is rarely the thing that makes the biggest difference. What often helps is having the space to untangle what’s going on, make sense of the bigger picture and find a way forward that feels right for you.

That’s where our conversations begin.

How I work

My coaching doesn’t have a formula or a step by step programme. I don’t believe there’s a single “right” way to create change.

Different approaches resonate with different people, so together we’ll discover what helps you understand yourself and move forwards most effectively. Every person who comes to me is different, so every coaching conversation is different too.

Sometimes we’ll spend time untangling a difficult decision. Sometimes we’ll notice patterns that keep showing up in your relationships or at work. Sometimes we’ll explore what your body is trying to tell you before your mind has caught up.

My coaching is reflective, but it’s also practical. You’ll leave with new insights, but also with things to notice, experiment with or put into practice between sessions.

And whilst we explore some serious topics, I don’t think coaching has to be serious all the time. There is usually plenty of laughter too.

What working together looks like

I recommend starting with six 75-minute sessions. Meaningful change rarely happens in a single conversation, and beginning with six sessions gives us the time to build trust, understand what’s really going on and create lasting change rather than simply putting a sticking plaster over the immediate problem.

We’ll usually meet every two to four weeks, depending on what works best for you and what you’re bringing to coaching. Sessions can take place online via Zoom, or in person from my coaching room in Chudleigh Knighton, Devon.

At the end of our initial six sessions, we’ll take some time to reflect on how things are going. For some people, six sessions are enough to navigate a particular challenge. Others choose to continue meeting monthly or as needed as life continues to evolve. There is never any expectation to continue beyond what feels helpful for you.

What might a session include?

Depending on what feels most useful, we might draw on:

  • Reflective coaching conversations to help untangle complex thoughts, feelings and decisions.
  • DISC profiling to better understand your behavioural preferences and how they influence the way you work and relate to others.
  • Psychology and neuroscience to help make sense of why you think, feel and respond the way you do.
  • Gentle somatic approaches to notice what your body and nervous system might be communicating.
  • Practical tools, reflections or small experiments to help you apply new insights in everyday life.
